Description:
This is a commercial property (motel block) that the PCBU engaged us to remove textured coating from the block walls and to cut and drop textured ceilings.
Method:
We were tasked to remove textured plaster coating from internal block walls and to then remove the textured ceilings. This task was completed using hand scrapers whilst surfaces were kept damp. Due to the porosity of the block walls detailed scraping was needed to ensure the asbestos containing plaster was removed completely and no fibres remained within the block.
Independent assessors took several tape tests of the surfaces confirming no fibres remained.
Conclusion:
The asbestos plaster was removed safely and passed the 4 Stage Final Clearance conducted by an independent assessor.
